Most Helpful Positive Review The perfect geezer couple tent
We bought this tent last year from CS and took it out for a few one nighters. It is a bit snug for two people, but weight wise this product is in a class by itself for quality and ultra light weight backpacking. I am 65 and cannot carry the 40# pack that I did years ago. I can go out for a back country overnighter with only 20# because of awesome products like this. My wife and I bought a whole bu

My how things have changed

by Freddie C., Verified Owner from TN, United States Written on March 17, 2016
I bought this tent to replace a 20 year old "backpacking" tent from my younger days.

I was very pleased with the size, durability and weight on this 2015 model Seedhouse SL 2.

While it would be a tight fit for two guys (I'm 6'3") it worked fine as a palatial 1 man tent. You could fit two in if needed, but one would disturb the other anytime they moved or tried to enter/exit the tent. Forget storing much gear inside for that situation.

Looking forward to my next adventure with this tent.

Great Lightweight Tent

by Joshua B., Verified Owner from AL, United States Written on February 1, 2016
I bought this tent for me and my 8 year old son to use on the trail due to it being advertised as lightweight. When weighed it actually came in under the advertised weight at 2lbs 14oz. We recently used it on a cold dry night. I am 5'11" and have just a couple inches to spare in the head and foot area when lying down. Plenty of room to sit up inside if you're sitting in the middle of the tent. For one person, laying diagonally would potentially provide more room. There was enough width space for me and my son and our two small sleeping mats.

There was minimal condensation the next morning. My sleeping bag was dry and I was definitely touching the side of the tent throughout the night at times. Packing back up in the morning, as I was removing bags and mats from the tent, I did notice some small puddles of water on the tent floor from the condensation falling but I never had a problem with it while I was in the tent. Those puddles were probably caused by all the movement of packing up.

Overall I liked the tent and think it will work well for us on future trips. I would definitely recommend this tent for those who are searching for a lightweight and cost efficient option!

Seedhouse is smashing!

by Laurie B., Verified Owner from Australia Written on January 25, 2016
Wow - just what I was after, an ultra lightweight (1.4kg) 2 man totally freestanding waterproof tent that I can pitch on the wooden floors of the huts of Australia’s Bibbulmun Track and watch the stars whilst avoiding the many mozzies and critters of the night. Great product and a doddle to put up too. Need these Big Agnes tents over here in Oz!!

Awesome Tent

by Braydon Lewis, from MS, United States Written on September 15, 2015
This tent is a little on the short side, but I am 6'2 and me and my Neoair Large fit just fine. My feet may hit the end sometimes, but I've never had a problem with my sleeping bag getting wet. This tent packs up super small and is so light. There's also tons of room for one person. It's also very strong in storms. Great tent for the money.

user experience of BA seedhouse SL2

by Ankuo Y., from Taiwan Written on April 19, 2015
I use this tent for myself only. It is absolutely accountable and comfortable for 1-man camping. It will be my golden gear for solo hiking. But if for 2 personscamping, I would use BA coppur-spur 3 man tent.It offers more room for with 2 doors.

Great solo tent

by Will, Written on April 3, 2014
Moved from the Seedhouse SL2 to a Fly Creek 2. Lighter, but much less functional; the SL2's freestanding rear poles make iffy pitches much easier, and the SL2 wastes less space between the ridgepole and the top of the inner. Moved back to a Seedhouse. Especially with the 2012 version's weight reduction, the Seedhouse SL2 is the sweet spot for reasonably lightweight, bomber, comfortable solo tents

The lightest most compact and easiest to pitch tent I've owned to date.I will have to use it for some time before I can be sure of its reliability.

Absolutely great tent!

by SwissKiwi, Written on December 12, 2013
- Have regularly used this tent for hiking trips in the Swiss Alps and for a 10 week hiking trip in New Zealand
- Tent floor is very thin, so please be sure you clean the ground very well. Nevertheless, there's no hole in the floor so far
- There's enough space inside for two average big guys but with two big backpacks it's very narrow

Great and Lightweight!

I just received the tent and absolutely love it! I have not yet used it, but it is lighter and more versatile than my one man tent.
