What are the dimensions of this strap system? Would it fit over a Backpacker Bear Cache (8.8 in. diameter X 12 in. long) to use as a harness to strap it to a pack with? — 2 Answers

Consulting the sizing chart, you'll find that the M/L accomodates individuals with a torso measuring more than 19 inches / 48.5 cm. Less than this - a S/M is recommended.

The Girdle would certainly accommodate a diameter of 8.8" and a length of 12", though a 5.5 - 6" diameter would be optimal. The square cradles at either end measure 5 x 5", but you have enough slack in the compression length that it could fit 8.8 inches across.
