Hi. Will this product work with an old svea 123, approx. 1977, vintage?

The 70's & earlier Sveas did not have a "self-cleaning" needle on the burner, like the newer ones do (as pictured in the parts kit photo). They were cleaned with small external wires on a thin piece of aluminum. Unfortunately, Optimus no longer stocks that part. However! At some point in the late 70's, early 80's The self-cleaning needle system at the bottom of the photo was added to Sveas. If you take your Svea apart and finds parts that match those in the photo, this kit will work. The big rubber gasket at the top of the photo is for the fuel cap and should work fine with any Svea.

The contents of the kit are:
1 cleaning needle
1 jet
1 spindle
1 metal ring for spindle
1 graphite ring
1 stuffing box for spindle
1 packing for tank lid
