One of the best attributes of the Playpus material is that it can withstand anything from frozen to boiling water. It has always been BPA free and, on top of that, there is zero taste (including the tube). These are one of the only taste-free solutions for hydration reservoir and bottles currently on the market. They are definitely the lightest and most compact, especially with soft bottles and PlatyPlus bottles.
