I notice that in two of the reviews the zip is reported to not run smoothly. No such fault is reported for the Apoc jacket. Why not? Do they use the same zips? Is the Apoc material slightly stiffer? — 3 Answers

I have not had one problem with any of the zippers on this jacket. It could be operator error with the other owners.

The two jackets are featured with the same type of zipper. Unfortunately, there is no technical reason why the zippers would perform poorly. Our experience is that both jackets zip easily, and have not found either to not work correctly.

Looking at the http://westcomb.com/ web site, the zippers in the two jackets are described identically. One cannot say for sure why the zippers in one jacket have reported problems while the other does not. Perhaps the users of the one are pickier or the users of the other are smarter.
