This jacket is a very good jacket. It is warmer than any other jacket I have and is very functional. In particular, its warmth and moisture permeability are unmatched. If you're hesitant, buy this jacket right away. You will never regret it.

The zipper gave me issues from day one. It is definitely great material and warm for a lightweight coat. Problem also was that if it wasn't zipped at all the sides would just flop around. Not a huge fan of the bright red interior either.

The Rab vapour rise guide is one of my first choices for sub 30f hikes as I sweat easily. Designed to be worn all day. It's not a jacket you would want to be carrying as its quite heavy. It's biggest advantage is it's more breathable as the pertex equilibrium fabric is not completely windproof. The fleece lining helps keep you warm while moving moisture to the outer surface. Th...
