This is very comfortable.
It is gread to use, I tested lots of backpacking chair and this one is the best that I've ever used.
This is very stable and I love being able to lean back.
and it is easy to take out with. it's really light than I've thought.

The product, as I expected, was flexible, had enough features, and was durable. Next time, I would like to buy additional for my family and use it for camping etc. I can fold compactly, so I will not take up space.

This is the 2nd Alite Mayfly I have purchased- the first has been my backpacking chair for over 1000 miles. It is a little heavy for backpacking but....being able to sit comfortably after a long day of hiking makes the extra weight worthwhile. My 'back' has thanked me many times for the comfort over the years. I purchased this chair because my Grandson loves my Alite chair also and I figure the only way we will both be happy is to have two. I love the new print material and as always the chair is sturdy and well made. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good light weight chair. It does sit very low to the ground so, if getting up from the ground is an issue, this would not be the chair for you.

This chair is an awesome piece of equipment. At 1.4 pounds it is worth taking on weekend trips or just to have on hand for get togethers. Love the green, easy to assemble and break down. Nice and comfortable in both configurations the front legs are nice for cooking or projects in front of you. Or turn it into a rocker lounge around the fire. I would recommend this to weekend campers that want some more comfort.
Pros:
- Lightweight
- Green
- Options on set up
Best Used for:
- Car Camping
- Weekend trips
- Family get togethers
- 4th of July
- Your favourite spot in a park

I love this chair as I'm a bigger guy and whenever I would use my old camp chair (Amazon clone of most Alite or REI chairs) the legs would sink into the earth if it was even slightly soft. Now with this chair I sit comfortably without worrying about sinking. The only con is how low this is to the ground.

The Mayfly is a really nice chair to take on backpacking, car camping, field concerts, convention centers, and anywhere you need a comfy seat without a lot of bulk & weight. Setup & breakdown is easy, and it's great the chair & frame roll up into its pouch that's about a foot long. Chair is very sturdy and weighs about the same as the 2-legged Monarch chair. Unlike the monarch, you don't need you use your legs to balance the mayfly - but it's nice to know the mayfly also can setup as 2-legged chair as well. The chair does weight 1.9#, so it's prob not the best option if you're packing for ultra-light...but on regular backpack trips, this chair is coming with me!

When Alite released their Monarch chair it was quite good for what it did but I was never completely comfortable in it; the shoulder area didn't seem entirely correct for me. To be fair, it fit my teenagers just fine. When the Mayfly came out I tried this out and instantly felt it was a better design; no more issues around the shoulders for me. Having all of the legs in the chair (instead of being two of the legs like with the Monarch) was a huge plus. I also considered the REI Flex Lite chair but found the Monarch to be a superior design. Thanks, CampSaver and Alite!
