Very strong and stable— i’m 6’ 4” & 220 lbs., so this is important.. Very comfortable— You can sit up straight to play your string instrument (It’s armless) or lean into the campfire, or you can lay back and relax. This chair is compact, yet overbuilt fit years of good use. Great price from CampSaver & shipping was Fast & Free.
Pros:
- Strong and durable
- Compact, strong and stable. Armless, so you can play your stringed instrument. Very comfortable: you can sit up straight or you can list back and relax.
- Strong for the large and compact for travel.
Best Used for:
- Any outdoor activity
- Any outdoor activities for play or work.

I had seen one of these because a buddy bought one. Its light and stable. My buddy has leg problems and uses it to fly fish from. Not having arms is an advantage here. The way the feet are constructed makes it stable on a rocky beach and keeps it from sinking into web sand. Great buy. I got mine because I teach fly casting and often am standing for several hours at a time, now I can sit down for a few minutes at a time. Highly recommend it.

This is a strong, well made and comfortable armchair but not if you are a big man. The armrest front handles force your legs not to spread as a big bodied person needs and this makes a discomfort on its own. I have bought and the Alps Adventure chair rated to 400 lbs weight capacity and I find it much more comfortable than this armchair. Even Alps biggest model King Kong armchair that has a 4, 1/2 inches wider seat I think may not be enough for a big bodied person spreading legs comfortably. Appart from this, It unfolds at once, feels safe, and comfortable and its fabric seems strong too. It packs at a considerable size (compared to the chair), in a strong made carrying case. I would also prefer and another color option apart from rust (black or khaki). I woud recommend this strong and nice armchair but not for big bodied persons.

From the first moment you understand this is a well made, strong, sturdy and safe chair. Slides open at once, is very comfortable and pleasent while seated even for a big man. The back support feels nice and comfortable too. It is almost better than an armchair, as I bought and the big CAT armchair from Alps and found that the handrests front supports, force uncomfortably your legs not to spread. The carrying case also looks strong and well made, you dont need to treat it as fragile.
