Best tent for the price

by joe, from CO, United States Written on August 22, 2018
I purchased this tent because my Black Diamond tent apparently has a broken pole and I needed something quick for a 4 night stay at 11,ooo ft. Got the package VERY quickly, strapped it to my backpack and headed out. When I got to my remote camp site I began setting up my tent. I was surprised at how easily it went up. Two poles & some clips and I was done in under 5 minutes. Anyone who has experience with setting up tents shouldn't have any problems with this. I thought it was roomy enough, I'm 5'10" and I had plenty of room. If you're over 6'2" I would consider something else. The vestibule works well enough, I stored my 4600cc backpack in it and never had a problem with it getting wet or anything. The fly is really nice and strong, when properly secured to the tent and ground, no rain and little wind is getting in. The second night the wind picked up really bad for a couple hours. While all the other tents were blowing around, my tent was rock solid, really, it didn't even sway in the strong gusts! The little windows are situated perfectly for peeking out at the weather while laying down. Zippers are solid, extra little storage net you can hang inside for keys, gun etc...I bought the ground "tarp" for this specific tent, can't really say much about it as it's just a tarp but it worked well. Tent broke down quick and all pieces fit in the bag! whoa! Oh, and I don't know why people are complaining about the steaks, I read some reviews and a couple people said to buy your own...

Nice tent!

by Don, from TN, United States Written on July 25, 2018
Set the tent up without issue. Size is a good fit for my solo trips to the backcountry and motorcycle camping. I would rate it 4.5 stars instead of 5 since it is on the heavy side for a 1 person tent. Would recommend to a friend.
Pros:
  • Nice size.
  • Roomy vestibule
  • Doesn't leak
Cons:
  • A bit heavy
Best Used for:
  • Backpacking and m/c camping

Cons:
  • Little heavier

Very nice tent

by Brad Barton, Verified Owner from IN, United States Written on April 10, 2018
I received my tent a few days ago and set it up. The tent goes up quickly and the seams are taped. I look forward to talking this to the Rockies when I go. The tent weights about 4lbs. Not exactly light weight but should hold up longer than a light weight tent.

Great tent at even better price

by David, Verified Owner from AL, United States Written on April 8, 2018
Bought this for the Boy Scout in our family. While a bit heavy, it works great for his outings. Quick set up and good layout. Water tight, no issues with leaks. It’s a great alternative to the hammock camping system he typically uses.
