Banditsuni's Review of ALPS Mountaineering Tasmanian Copper/Rust
I have used this tent for years when car camping. It is roomy, relatively easy to set up (not so much in wind) and solid. My friend who is over 6'6" bought one as well after he "tired mine out for size". We took his to Iceland, where it collapsed after enduring hours of 50+ mph wind and "horizontal" rain. I have used it in weather ranging from 90°F to below freezing, and with the proper pad and sleeping bag have never been cold. It has never leaked and condensation has not been a problem either. It could use some better quality guy ropes that do not stretch so much when wet, and the rainfly slaps a lot when windy, and is noisy.
Pros:
Build quality, price
Cons:
Noisy in wind
Best Used for:
Car Camping
Would Recommend:
Yes
