The Aquamira Water Treatment Drops is the light weight way to treat your drinking water , no boiling , waiting , filtering or anything but adding the drops to the water and drinking.
If you put a bandana over the top of your water bottle it keeps the floaters in the pond ( river ) water out of your bottle as it fills. Then remove the bandana and add the drops to the water bottle give it a shake and enjoy.

I purchased 20 of these for some long distance backpacking trips I have planned. This version is significanly less expensive per liter then the tablet version and one pack is enough to last a month on the trail. Easy to use, the product turns yellow in the mixing cup after both components are added so I know I have mixed it correctly before adding it to my water. No disernible taste or color when

I tried this for the first time on some rather scary looking water. The water was pumped from a well and was quite green with algae. The treatment didn't help the color much but I didn't get sick and it tasted pretty good. 3 other people drank the water and were also fine. I transfered the 2 solutions to smaller eye drop bottles so that I can carry them with my emergency and first aid kit. They se

Used this on a multi week bike packing trip. Easy to use. The down side, it takes about 25 minutes until you can drink the water. Water tastes just fine. A little goes a long way.

Municipal water districts across the US use chlorine to purify water so you should too in the backcountry! Forget about iodine, heavy pumps, UV pens, and other processes...keep it simple A+B and time = purified!
Best stuff for the cost and the amount of gallons you can purify verse the amount of weight. I should know...I have used up 4 Aqua Miras in my life and that's 120 gallons of purifying!
