Very nice all around shell
Fits nice and trim. Almost long enough; though I'd like another inch or two there. Good quality zippers and velcro closures. Hood is generous, but adjustable enough to function...could possibly be improved with more articulation. Main zipper is one way only, definitely should be two-way. Lastly, an internal waist cinch would be a welcome addition.

Great jacket
Fits a little longer than the beta AR and alpha series, which is exactly what I was looking for! A little on the baggy side so definitely don’t size up on this one. I’m usually between and large and xl.

Bombproof shell
This jacket is extremely well made. Super durable shell which looks as good as new despite heavy usage. Not too heavy, and still quite breathable especially when the activity level increases. I like the slightly longer length for this jacket; I wear this with bibs and it is more than enough to keep the snow out.

Arc’teryx Beta SV Jacket
Excellent fit and quality. Purchasing from Campsaver was a great experience. The sales support staff are very helpful and accommodating. They also have some of the best prices around on Arc’teryx gear. You might have to be a bit patient for the right item to become available, but it’s definitely worth the wait.

Wanted this to work
Was shopping for a new Goretex shell for Pacific Northwest winters and snow sports during recent Arcteryx sale.
I pored over the descriptions of multiple items and picked the Beta SV for the best combination of features. For me, it had the right assortment of pockets for skiing. Also, from past purchases, I know I prefer the Arcteryx storm hood better over the drop hood. This doesn't have a powder skirt, but I don't use in my jackets that have one.
This thing is good looking and constructed solidly.
I think I fall between Arcteryx sizes in the Beta. I am 5' 11", 165 lb. I had previously had the opportunity to try the Beta SV in a and found it was WAY too large.
I ordered a medium, unfortunately the fit was just slightly snug in upper chest/armpits, and with some regret, decided to return.
