Most Helpful Positive Review Looks Great
This is a light fleece, not the warmest for me. It does have several nice features, the hood with built in face mask, two nice size hand pockets and a Napoleon pocket on the chest. The inner fleece does not slide well against lower layers so when putting it on it takes a little positioning to get it to sit right. The Nighthawk color is a very dark navy blue. I'm 5'9", 145 pounds (21BMI) and the small fits me about perfect when wearing one or two thin layers underneath. Four stars because of a high price and lighter than expected fabric weight.

Best Fleece Jacket

This jacket was bought after much consideration. I am happy to say that it has met or exceeded all requirements after 2 years of usage.

It has a hardface that is moderately wind resistant and water resistant. Plus it provides sufficient warmth.

This jacket fits well. Will recommend... if still in productoin.

Cool hoody.

Truth be told, I usually don't bother to write reviews, especially at 7 am (EST). But this Arc'teryx Fortrez Hoody, with the exception of it being a little tight around my Adam's apple, is a great hoody. I especially love the integrated balaclava. "Why?" you ask. Well for starters it just looks cool, and it serves as a de facto COVID mask/neck gaiter. Now I don't have to carry around a stupid mask, which, according to CDC numbers on those that regularly wear masks to prevent themselves from contracting COVID, is pretty much useless anyway. But aside from the balaclava, the entire hoody itself, in size medium, fits me perfectly and really accentuates my medium, athletic build at 6'1", 185 lbs. And with the combination of the scuba-style hood and integrated balaclava, I get to play master ninja this upcoming Halloween! Oh yeah, baby!

Finally someone made one!

Zippered fleece with a hood! Yes finally someone made one......I love this piece of gear. Super quality fleece, great front zipper, quality cuffs, zippered chest pocket and a hood. Such great flexibility with this garment and well made like all arc'teryx products.

Would recommend this jacket as it provides a nice fit and is very warm. The only negative for me is that the sleeves are slightly long, but I've noticed that with other Arc'teryx gear as well. Other than that, great fleece jacket.

Overall Great Jacket with a couple of fit issues

As you know with most Dead Bird products the quality and materials are great. I have no issues with any of those things. A few things I wish I could change are the fit. The sleeves are a bit tight even with someone without big arms. Thankfully they are stretchy as it is a bit tough to get it over a long sleeve that's thicker than a tee. If you understand it's a mid layer piece meant to be a close to skin layer then this works just fine. Secondly, the hoody is very long. Maybe 2-3 inches too long. I'm not very tall (5'9) but it looks a bit like a dress on me.

As mentioned in previous reviews this is very breathable meaning it does NOT block wind but I knew that when I was purchasing this.

Good jacket, bad value

This is a very close fitting jacket. I am a fairly slim guy and it still is almost skin tight around the chest and around the shoulders. Luckily for me it was just perfect. I am 175cm, and have a bit broader than average shoulders, but a slim torso. Additionally, sleeve lengths were spot on, and give a little extra.
