Just feels good
This is my first Arc'teryx jacket and I immediately want an Arc'teryx hardshell now as well. This thing just feels great to wear, and looks great on me. I'm 5'10" 160lbs and I think a medium fits great. I usually like slightly baggier tops, but knew there was a reason for this to be a little more form fitting, so I went with a medium. The stretch and length of the coat make the slightly fitted sizing feel good and work well. I really like how easily the collar stands up to cover your neck and chin when fully zipped. Everything is pretty great, the fit, the warmth, quality...
The only thing is that color proteus turns out a little differently than the picture.
The color I selected is Cobalt Sun. It looks a little brighter when I got it.
And it's better than what saw at the picture.

Amazing for climbing!
This jacket is amazing, the attention to detail is impeccable. Every seem is taped, the stitches are perfect, I couldn't be happier with the craftsmanship of the piece. Just be aware that the fabric is rougher than most, and the sleeves is slightly long on my body, however that is a personal issue, pertaining to my body, and not necessarily yours.

Awesome softshell!
Definitely a versatile jacket. Almost like the swiss-army knife of jackets. Sure, you can find jackets that are more breathable, warmer, weatherproof, or stylish than this jacket, but it does all of these things well despite not excelling at one in particular. It’s the do it all jacket for sure that you can toss in your pack and be covered for everything but winter or heavy precipitation. I use it for some Spring hiking and biking but it looks like it will be great for summer if the weather turns for the worse. This is not a warm jacket but it does keep the wind and light precipitation away. Style is A+ in my opinion: sleek, minimal, and trim fitting. It drapes well almost like it’s tailor-made. I’m 5-9 190 athletic build and the large fits great. Size up if you plan on layering a lot.

I didn't have chance to wear the jacket in the woods yet, but I like it's stretchiness and the look. I have been wearing in town and it looks good enough to walk around. It feels like a good quality product, like the color and feels very comfy.
I'd probably prefer the sleeves to have an adjustable cuff. The cuff is to narrow thatI have difficulties to look at my watch. Also when I wear a fleece jacket under it's difficult to pull fleece sleeve.

Arc'teryx makes the best jackets and this one is no different.
The material is stretchy and moves with you. You can reach high and low, around to the back, and never feel restricted. It's also very tough & durable. I've had mine for 1 years now and the thing still looks new.
