These boots are amazing for back packing and general mountaineering. Through the years I have owned Danner Mountain Light, Italian Vasque Sundowners, Vasque Montana's, Merril Wilderness, Zamberlan Vioz, Asolo 520GV, Scarpa Kinesis GTX, and Limmer’s custom standard boots. I believe these are my favorite. They do not have a goretex liner so they seem breathe better and you don’t have to worry about the liner failing you in the field. They are made of a silicone impregnated 2.8 mm leather and are incredibly waterproof/bombproof. The Kinesis is nice but the leather is much softer, slightly thinner, and there is the goretex thing. They also did not hold up as well as these.

Very warm coat, feels plush when wearing!
And the wind proof lining makes it easy to put on and take off.
Only gripe is that the army colour is a lot greener than it looked on the website.
I thought it was a dark brown/green.
If I had seen it in a shop, I would have chosen the grit or black colour.
But still, a really good fleece.

What a fantastic boot. I have been a Danner guy for many years, but have had some issues with fit and comfort as I have gotten older. I was looking for a high quality handmade waterproof bombproof boot, and this is it! Beautiful workmanship...you get these out of the box and just want to admire them for a hour or two before you even begin to wear them. These are, frankly, the most comfortable, highest quality, most finely crafted boots I have ever laid my hands on--and I have had Danner, Filson, Orvis, and other high end boots. None compare to these. The fit is true to size, and they are very comfortable right out of the box. These are among the most expensive hiking boots I have ever purchased, but they are worth every penny, and as soon as you put these babies on, you wont begrudge a dime of what you paid for them. They are to boots what Leica is to optics. Simply the best. I fully expect that these boots will last me for the rest of my hiking days. You will not be disappointed.

Have bought multiple pairs of Hoka running shoes, but this is first Hoka boot purchase. I have many pairs of boots and I will only be buying these from now on. Super durable in desert around cactus, rocks, even mud when it rains. Great traction and exception support for ankles. I have neuropathy in my feet and these cause not discomfort, pain or fatigue. They are not as comfortable as Hoka running shoes, but more comfortable than any boot I have worn in the last 35 years. I love these boots!

I love my scarpa. I have many walking boots, but from what I sense, these are some of the best you can find. They are truly quality meant for rugged climbs. I plan on getting a pair of Danner's for their classic look, so it boils down to these two if you have the budget for it.

I love this bag. It has loads of room to store whatever it is you need, comes with loads of pockets and straps for adjusting how it rests on you. Comes with a waterproofing cover as well.
but, It’s heavier than some other packs out there, but in my view pack weight itself is fairly marginal in an expedition pack (ie. they’ll all be heavy when full). The trade off for that extra weight is solid material that does a great job standing up to abuse.

I've been a fan of these for quite a long time now. This is the third one I've purchased; it has a great build quality, like the rest of them.
I gave it four stars because the material doesn't have the pattern on both sides (at least for the 'Hunter Military' pattern). This really limits the methods that this Buff can be used. I purposefully bought this one for hunting, so I can't have the white interior showing.

Arc'teryx makes the best jackets and this one is no different.
The material is stretchy and moves with you. You can reach high and low, around to the back, and never feel restricted. It's also very tough & durable. I've had mine for 1 years now and the thing still looks new.
