My favorite dehydrated meal

It took me a long time to try this meal because it sounded bland and boring. To my surprise, it is really quite tasty! It's a great vegetarian meal and packed with calories. When I'm thru-hiking, it's one of the highest calorie meals I can eat. It's also usually priced less expensive than other meals.

Good Stuff

Backpackers Pantry Cuban Coconut Black Beans and Rice. This is good eating, not too spicy or sticky, shared between two hungry people it works just fine. Takes a little longer to cook than Mountain House. Yea, go for it.

  • There is a lot in one package.
Cons:
  • A little slow to cook.

  • Camping

Delicious meal

I really enjoy the Cuban coconut black beans and rice meal. It has pieces of banana, which makes it slightly sweet. The coconut flavor is delicious. It works for breakfast or dinner. I will definitely be buying this again.
