Most Helpful Positive Review Great Backpacking Tent!
Got this tent so my SigOtter, dog, and I can go backpacking and have a decent sleeping space. The tent is pretty large for its meager weight. Split between two packs my girlfriend and I only had to budget two lbs for our tent which was awesome. The tent has lots of convenient pockets and a decent sized vestibule on both sides. Highly recommend!

Great Tent with a Perfect Balance of Features

by KFZ, from CO, United States Written on July 29, 2020
This tent is phenomenal. It's light and durable, while offering enough space for 3 people, though I have used it for 2 people plus gear, which I think is more ideal. 3 people in this tent would be cramped, but certainly doable. Also, the weight penalty between the 2P and 3P version is minimal and worth it given the extra comfort and space for gear or a dog. Super easy to pitch. Did it the first time in light rain and it went very quickly. Poured rain on the first night and stayed completely dry while having no condensation buildup. So far, after multiple nights and climbing objectives, it looks brand new.

Great Tent

by Allie, Verified Owner from Taiwan Written on January 22, 2020
Tent is very easy to set up and im able to sit up with it no problem. Have not been in s challenging environment to attest to the durability; however with the rain fly this tent does do well in colder climates. i definitely recommend getting the footprint for this tent as well. Have had this tent on grounds where many tents would rip, but the floor of the tent held up like a champ.

I love this tent.

I replaced an entry level 2 person backpacking tent with the copper spur hv ul 3. The difference is huge. It’s almost 2 pounds lighter, takes up less space in the pack and 25% bigger. The extra space makes all the difference for comfort. The UL design is a bit more fragile than others, and requires a bit of care in set up and use (eg don’t set it up on rocks and sticks and then throw your bag into it!) The packed size and weight is worth it. The doors have a two zipper design, which can be a bit annoying, but also seems a bit stronger. This tent also has a lot of well placed pockets which was a nice surprise for the low weight. Buy it!
Pros:
  • Low weight
  • small packed size
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Backpacking

Lightweight for the size. Good construction and materials used. Great to hang out in a storm or other bad weather. Easy and fast to set up. Poles are very light and not cumbersome. Looking forward to many years of use.

This tent is extremely lightweight and well constructed. I found it very easy to assemble and disassemble. I am anxious to put it to a real test this summer on a boundary waters canoe area trip. I also got the footprint which fits extremely well.
Pros:

  • A tad expensive without a discount

Great product

Easy to setup, light weight made carrying on the trails very easy. It held out the moisture very well in the mornings and on the hot days the airflow was good enough to keep it from being a sauna inside.

Big Agnes Copper Spur HV UL3

by Astrid, Verified Owner from TROMS, Norway Written on May 23, 2018
I recieved my tent a few days ago, and had to take it out for a test night immediatly. Inital reaction is that the tent is beatiful, roomy, easy to set up, and light compared to the size you get. I also got the footprint, and think that Im going to use that as much as possible along with the tent to prolong its durability. The material is a little thin, but together with the footprint I am confident itll be fine.

Although roomy, I think the tent is best for 2 adults and a pet or child. 3 could fit, but it would be a very very cosy fit.

Looking forward to bringing this along for a week of camping around Iceland, and my summer holidey in Norway. Will report back with any updates after further use.
Pros:
  • QUALITY
  • Easy to set up
  • Light
  • Large
  • attractive
Cons:
  • a little thin

Very light but much room

by Mickey, Verified Owner from Hong Kong Written on April 1, 2018
I was looking for a 3P tent when I go camping solely or with my kid. This one can be fitted inside my backpack.

It is easy to set up. It is much room (more than Fly Creek HV UL 3) Two persons camping is perfect and three persons camping is still acceptable.
Pros:
  • ultra light
  • much space
Cons:
  • pricey
Would recommend: Yes

Thank you Black Friday!

by Cuff, from ON, Canada Written on January 6, 2018
Been looking for a reasonably priced sale for this puppy for a few years. I haven't camped with it yet, but I'm very much looking forward to it. One thing for sure, it weighs half of what my previous tent weighed. I can hardly wait for spring to try this puppy out.
Pros:
  • Light
Cons:
  • not cheap
Best Used for:
  • backpacking, canoing
