We were looking for an ultra light weight tent that would work across various temperature ranges for a planned hike through Tasmania (Australia) where temperatures and weather conditions can vary significantly. We were going for a 2 man tent but realised the 3 person tent would give us more options, particularly if it rains a bit. We set up the tent and it is huge - we are 2 medium sized people.
