Most Helpful Positive Review Fly Creek Tent is great
Just used the new FC2P over the weekend. This tent meets all expectations. Easy to set up, easy to pack in, pack up and roomy. Me and my 50 lbs puppy had no problem. He enjoyed the room and it was easy to let him out when nature called.
Most Helpful Negative Review Light weight has a high price
I bought this tent because I need a two person tent that won't break my back when I have to carry for two. As far as meeting that need this tent gets five stars. The drawbacks are in the actual size of the tent and the delicate fabric that is used to attain it's light weight. Although billed as a ...

Alright but has no durability at all

by triscuit, from CO, United States Written on June 14, 2019
Used this tent for the entire PCT. Its pros are that its light, easy to setup, has great visibility when just using the inner net alone. I really enjoyed this as most nights on the PCT were clear weather but had mosquitoes so it was cool to lay inside for bug protection while watching the stars. The major downfall is the durability. The material is so thin a strong groundsheet is basically required. The seam around the door also began to fail causing it it rip more and more every time I opened the door. I tried to patch it anyway I could, but the way its designed puts a lot of pressure on the fabric when closing/opening the door. This makes it near impossible to patch up that area of the tent. Adding the weight of a groundsheet and this tents high price make me think there were better options I should have considered. Keep in mind Big Agnes charges to repair there gear as well.

Two person tent?

by Jeffrey O., from WY, United States Written on May 21, 2017
I used this tent for the first time last week. I was really surprised to find that at 6'1" the tent is too short for me, my inflatable pad and quilt. The walls slope really steeplly in from the floor. The end of my quilt touched the end wall, and my head on small pillow was jammed up against the door. I can't imagine two regular sized people would be comfortable in this tent. There would be no room for gear, and the vestibule is so small to be unusable.

The quality of the tent is high. The double wall should reduce condensation issues - my Tarptent Contrail and Six Moon Trekker have this issue. I'm going to sell this tent, and go back to a Tarptent Protrail - the current version of the Contrail.

An amazing tent.

by Gordon R., from NH, United States Written on May 4, 2016
I wanted light weight & got it. The weight is 2# just as stated! A little concerned about staking out the back end but not expecting any problems. This tent replaced my BA Copper Spur 2 that weighs in at 3# 2oz. Looking forward to using it at end of May.

The tent is amazing, pretty lightweight. Except The zip of the door often catches the fabrtththrough, and the Parcel arrives a little bit later than expected.

Big Agnes Fly Creek 2 Platinum Tent

by Jason N., from Ireland Written on March 7, 2016
Great service by Campsaver, Bought the tent with a great 20% discount and free footprint. Saved over $120 on REI same product. I entered the wrong zip code and the tent was sent to Kennedy Meadows :) Then resent to my address. Overall can't be happier with this company and look forward to resupplies when I start the PCT next month :)

Big Agnes Fly Creek 2 Platinum

More than pleased with the purchase. Had initial concerns regarding reviews of windy conditions. Took advantage of a day with winds of 35mph gusting to 45mph. I set/rigged it in 3 different directions, and have no concerns that I can make it work. Have purchased 3 BA tents over the years, and will buy again if the need arises. Great company, and great products.

Update on my prior review

by Mike O., from CA, United States Written on March 14, 2015
Took it into Carson-Iceberg Wilderness. It was 25 degrees with snow everywhere. Because of the low sides, there was a breeze in there. In the morning the fly was a sheet of ice and frozen solid. Inside with me (and all my stuff) it was totally dry. My shoes ever dried out.

Fantastic Piece of Kit

by Steve S., Written on March 11, 2015
I just bought my second one of these. After 4 years and well over 100 nights of hard use it is finally starting to wear out. For ultra light kit that is unheard of. It is not spacious or roomy. It is durable, reliable and effective shelter for two at 1.1 lbs per person. Nothing I know of is lighter.
