Reviews & Ratings for Big Agnes Fly Creek Tent
— 6 reviews — Page 1
I have been on a quest to lighten my pack - and an ultralight tent was at the top of my list. This tent allows me a comfortable stay in camp for almost no real appreciable "weight gain". Base backpack weight is down to 7.2 pounds - and that's with the complete tent. "Summer-mode" with just the tent body, poles and two stakes it drops to about 6.5 pounds.
I like to get in to camp, flip up the ten

I have been very happy with this tent, my first backpacking tent. Carried for a week long trip and several 2-3 day trips for a total of 19 nights since purchase early this year. Have slept in it with rain, wind, and temp to freezing. Tent is warm when it is cold, not overly stuffy when warm. It has kept me and my gear dry. Easy setup and take down. When I have to pack it up wet, the tent dries very quickly when set up in dry weather.
I put the pole in an outside pocket of my backpack. The tent, fly, stakes, repair kit, and footprint fit nicely in a 6 liter Osprey StraightJacket Compression Sack. I use the flycreek footprint. Tent seems durable for the light weight materials. Zippers are working well. I would not recommend this for 2 persons. It is a tight fit for me and my backpack, but everything fits inside the tent. I leave only my shoes in the vestibule. Headroom is sufficient for my height of 5'6", not spacious.
Pros:
Light weight
compact size
Cons:
None
Best Used for:
backpacker who sleeps solo and is under 6 foot tall
Would recommend: Yes

I bought this tent about 6 months ago and could not be more in love with it. I work in Australia as outdoor guide and sleep in my tent more than my bed. It was pricey but well worth it.
Its pretty tight for a two man so you want to know your buddy well.
Ive had this tent in pouring rain and stayed completely dry, i was pretty much sleeping on a water bed two nights ago but everything inside the te
