Most Helpful Negative Review Don’t get wet or actually use
Tent is very lightweight and spacious. It’s also very flimsy material. Several times the top cross bar poked thru the fly while setting up. Used included tape to make repairs. After using this tent for awhile one segment of the pole broke and went thru the fly. I sent the pole set and ripped fly to be repaired under warranty. I was told that the aluminum inserts had all corroded (aluminum isn’t supposed to do that) after being exposed to moisture so they weren’t going to fix it and wanted me to buy a whole new pole set. So don’t get the tent wet? Don’t backpack with it? Also that the carbon wa...

Super expensive but not worthy

I bought this BA Tiger Wall 2 Carbon tent about 2 years ago. Its full price was 1000 $ although I bought it on sale. I was very satisfied initially. It is very light, has two big vestibules; I liked the materials and especially that the rainfly was kinda semi-transparent. However, within a few months, when a hiking season started, I noticed tiny holes in a rainfly. I thought that maybe I was not careful enough so I bought repair patches and fixed it. No matter how careful I try to be, I kept fixing multiple little holes. Then a pocket where a shorter/ transverse pole needs to go in fell of leaving very sticky surface. I was still backpacking. I had to fold my tent but this glued parts of rainfly together . Trying to separate glued surfaces left more holes. Then, one segment on the longest poles broke in the middle of the night and sharp edges cut a significant hole in a rainfly.. I fixed it using a repair tube that comes with a tent and I had a big enough patch to fix the hole. I was on a long backpacking trip in a backcountry. 2 days later, the same pole broke at the end of the repair tube. Luckily, I had a second repair tube to fix it. A few days later, the same pole segment broke at the end of the second repair tube and I still had 3 or 4 nights to go. I used tent stakes and my last duck tape to fix it. It worked. I am back at home planing to get in touch with BA as I would like this tent to be repaired. Actually, what I would like is to get a new tent but after payin...

Ultra Lightweight and durable

I received the Tiger Wall 2 Carbon this past fall (2019) and I used it on a backcountry hunting trip. We had to set up on the only available flat spot on the mountain which proved to have many rocks. The Tiger Wall with floor saver held up great! We experienced rain/hail and even some snow during our trip and the Dyneema fabric protected us and our gear from the elements daily. Though it is a 2 person tent, there was ample room to add extra gear inside as well as be comfortable and not crammed while sleeping. Combine the Dyneema Fabric with carbon poles and you have one ultra lightweight tent that is very durable and reliable for the backcountry.
Pros:
  • Ultra light weight
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • HIKING
  • hunting
  • backcountry camping
