Most Helpful Positive Review Nice tent. Well made and
Nice tent. Well made and light weight. However, it could have been lighter without costing much more (if any). The LineLocs along the rainfly seam as attachment points for the guy lines are unnecessary and the zippers on the vestibule and tent door are beefier than necessary. The Jake's Feet in the corners for attaching the poles and rainfly to the tent body also seem unnecessary. I personally don't care for them as I find them far more cumbersome than traditional side release buckles for attaching/detaching the rainfly. Also, the full netting at the foot and head of the tent body essentially ...

Triangle Mountain UL Tent - 2 Person

by Doug, from OR, United States Written on June 14, 2018
Lite, compact. Fits well in my handlebar bag for bikepacking. Two people fit, but cozy. Easy to assemble with the entire pole set coming as one piece that breaks down to a small size. No more trying to figure out which pole goes where. There is pretty much only one way to set this up, simple!
Pros:
  • Lite weight
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Backpacking
  • Bikepacking

Comfortable for 1 person, and holds up well

by jake, from PA, United States Written on April 22, 2018
I've used this about a month for work in forestry in the rockies. So far, no issues, and it's been comfortable through the weather (though it's not meant for nights in the teens for sure). It's easy set up and take down, so far no problems with the material or construction at all, and when staked, it held up in a field through 50 mph winds. Definitely only good for 2 people if you're really close though. It's a tight fit for me (5'10 155) and my 70 liter bag.

Light and roomy

I was very pleased that I was able to snatch this tent up on sale. The setup is very quick and easy, the materials are very light and high quality, the venting is well thought out. I do still prefer a tent that is completely freestanding and this tent is just mostly freestanding because the lower corners do not hold their shape without being staked in. There are not many UL tents out there with a full lifetime warranty. If you can get this for a reduced price over the Fly Creak 2, I would recommend this tent highly.
Pros:
  • Light, priced well, easy to setup, lots of head room
Cons:
  • Not fully freestanding, limited production with limited info and support
Best Used for:
  • Fast backpacking

Not one of BA's best

by Mikey, from AZ, United States Written on December 13, 2017
So, I got the tent feom Campsaver in quick fashion, they are always timely and cheaper than others. The tent on the other hand, was not what I would have hoped for. It will do fine for my kayaking trips, but it won't be taken with me for any thru hikes. Not to say this is a horrible tent, but it is a tent with obstacles. It takes awhile to set up, so if you're in the middle of a rainstorm, this tent will have a little water in it when entering. Second, the space, i thought there would be more. The UL2 feels almost bivy style, let alone able to fit 2 people. I'm going to play around with this a bit and see if I can get more comfortable, but I'm not crossing my fingers! Campsaver gets 5 stars, the BA Triangle gets 2.

Lightweight 2 man tent

Luv the tents weight , seems pretty solid. But it's technically not a free standing tent as described. Will be testing it on the Presidential Range in NH.
