Fantastic Purchase - CampSaver 2 Bundle
This little camp stove was a serious surprise package - it ran off tiny twigs and dried leaves and managed to charge my phone 28% int he time it took to cook a couple of sausages. The light was powerful enough to light the immediate area and it was a very efficient cooker. Very impressive!

Great little stove using wood for fuel
Really enjoy using this little stove - works great and the heat over the grill is very even - if it is raining or wet you should have some dry fuel stored somewhere since it can be tough to light it with only wet sticks and twigs!

Biolite campstove
Excellent little cooking stove kit. Really nice how everything packs up into the unit for packing. Almost smokeless and will burn just about anything small and incredible how it charges the onboard battery bank by fire to charge anything you can charge with a USB cord. Very nice little stove.

Learning Curve
Overall this product is very good and does what it says. It does take some practice, however. The instructions are just this side of awful. Watch videos to see the correct way to get the stove going correctly. I kept trying to build a fire like you would in a campfire. I.E. fire on bottom kindling on top and then add larger pieces once going. Instead, the stove should be filled with small kindling about 2/3 full and the fire starter on top. Let the fan do the work. Once I figured this out I had boiling water in minutes.
There is very minimal temperature control and you can't just turn it off and pack up and go. You have to let it burn out or have an ash can or a hole dug if you are in a hurry to get going.

Excellent product
I cannot day enough good things about this new stove and the bundle. The first use/night I made chili, worked flawlessly. The second time/morning I was attempting to make coffee. Had to play around with the heat/fan levels to figure out where it needed to be for the coffee to boil but not have the flames licking up the sides of the pot. Plus it was windy so that is another factor. Just have to experiment-which I am eagerly looking forward to. I did not get a chance to use the grill-so no review in that part yet. Cleans up easily and storage is very compact. Connor wait to try it on my next Multi day Kayak Trip.
