The black diamond Alpine Cork trekking poles are bomber. Super sturdy and solid under weight. Also relatively light weight for how robust their construction is. These are the industry standard.

Love the fit and function of these sticks. I’ve used my 1st pair for years in all kinds of conditions and actually bought these as a backup pair just in case. I have used them on Rocky knife edges, snowshoeing and any type of hike you can think of.
Pros:
Pack Down Well
durable
Light & awesome design

The cork handles on these sticks make them easy to hold and very comfortable to hike with. No slipping and your hands stay dry while hiking. You do need to buy the rubber caps because they did not come with this pair.
Pros:
COMFORT

The alpine carbon cork is really really strong, great for four season trekking, Always reliable. And the weight is reasonably light for its strength. The cons is that the lower shaft cannot be locked well in the shortest lenght, you have to pull it out a bit then lock it.
Pros:
strong , light
Cons:
the lower shaft cannot be locked well in the shortest lenght
Best Used for:
four season trekking,

These poles are fantasic. They have not let me down and I am very rough on stuff. Looking forward to really testing them this fall. Very light and comfortable. They are very sturdy and the locking mechanism works great.

I like the texture of tho cork and the flexibility of the poles, easily change the length of the pole when climbing up or down, compared with Z series. However it’s much longer than the Z series by the way.
