Most Helpful Positive Review Ideal for three seasons
This is my second pair of Ultra-distance. For lightweight trekking are the best to be resistant and very low weight. Very comfortable. I bought this second pair because I stepped on with my crampons and of course broke. I replaced it with the Ultra Carbon Mountain, much more suitable for snow and ice for its hardness and larger rosette, but heavy to wear in summer. With the healthy parts I built a shorter pair for my granddaughter. I honestly missed them. With these two pairs I cover my needs in all four seasons. Ideal for three seasons

Super Light!

by Tyler, Written on April 3, 2014
These poles are awesome! They are one of the lightest verions of trekking poles on the market. Built out of carbon-fiber, these things pack small and carry light. I'm 5'6" and decided to go with the 120cm length. I tend to use my poles for the hike out from basecamp more than the hike in and wanted a little extra length for the slight decline on the way out. These poles are not adjustable oth

Bomb Poles!!!

by Tyler, Written on April 3, 2014
Love these poles. They are super lightweight but stronger than an ox. Love the z-pole design and can even adjust the tension of the inner cord if they loosen over time. Black Diamond knows how to produce a quality trekking pole. I'm 5'6" and went with the 120cm length as opposed to the next smaller length. Since these poles don't adjust, getting the right length is important. I use my poles

Lightning Strikes Twice w/these Z poles

by CMountains, from CA, United States Written on September 10, 2013
Climbed Mount Whitney from Cottonwood meadows, New Army Pass, Rock Creek, Crabtree out to Whitney Portal.
These poles are light and quick to hike with, adding speed to your pace. I recommend these over adjustable ones because of their added strength. I lost my footing a couple time and placed all my weight on the poles, they did well, other poles probably would have collapsed.
