The standard for deck mounted kayak compasses
We have a number of these - one for every kayak.
Great deck mounted compass - very rugged and fits perfectly into the factory recess found on most higher end kayaks.
Recommend purchasing stainless steel hardware to mount though.
There are kayak mounting instructions on-line if you check around.

Brunton 70p bulkhead mount compass
I had one of these on another sailboat and it worked great. It's a good size, good price, and it doesn't stick out much, so it stays out of the way. I hear it's also great for kayaks. This one (my second) is for my new small sailboat.The Swedes know how to build 'em!
