I've used these on some Colorado 14ers and been very happy with them. The integrated heel-lift helps on very steep terrain, and the suspension system handles awkward angles very well. The crampons bite hard in snow and ice. These shoes are a little heavier than some competitors, but I think the increased durability is worth it. Solid, high load/volume pack

If you need a big pack, put this one on your tryout list. I've used it for weeklong trips in Yellowstone and Grand Canyon, plus some overnight mountaineering trips.
