warm from neck down

Written on Jan 12, 2020

i have been wearing this westcomb traverse parka since Christmas here in Duluth and can say that it is great below 20-25 F but perhaps too warm above that unless just standing around. and in those polar vortex sub zero windchills the neck and hood are poorly designed to keep out the drafts. definitely needs fur trim around hood and a snugger fleece lining for the collar. And the hood isnt quite the right fit over a hat, yet too thinly insulated to use without a hat. overall, i am keeping it because it is really great from the neck down!

fits my mountainsmith tent perfectly

good quality and even color coded, just like the tent. I had been using a Tyvek sheet that i made myself, but i decided to get a real groundcloth that has grommets, even though is is a little more weight. looks nicer.

Neat well thought out little stove, and pots seem pretty scratch resistant
