I was looking for a warm layering piece that's more sturdy than a puffy jacket for an upcoming off-trail hike. This jacket's brushed exterior will be ideal. It is warm but not bulky/heavy so wont take up too much room in my pack. Fit is true to size. It would be a perfect 5 stars if it was made to be windproof.

Review for Mammut Aconcagua Jacket - Womens

I was looking for a performance fleece for a challenging off-trail hike on a remote island coming up this spring. This jacket will be perfect. It has a bit of stretch, is cozy on the inside, and feels like the outside will hold up to the dense undergrowth I'll be hiking through. Fit is true to size.

Review for Astral V-Eight, Kayaking Life Vest

This is one of the most breathable life vests I have ever worn for kayaking. With a full mesh back, and the flotation portion up toward the shoulders, it's a perfect fit with the seat design of my Wilderness 12.5 kayak. The only reason I didn't give this vest 5 stars is because it is thicker than I expected it would be. Even so, it does not interfere with my paddle strokes and is very comfortable for a day on the water.

Review for Exped Cloudburst 25 Dry Bag

I hiked Isle Royale for 8 days in May, and decided for next year I wanted a waterproof daypack. So I came home and ordered this pack. Just used it on a summer 20-mile overnighter to try it out. It held my tent, footprint, 3/4 sleeping pad, fleece liner, pillow, first aid kit, ditty bag, rain jacket, and food. I strapped the tent poles and sit pad to the outside. Total weight was 10 pounds. This little pack performed very well for me, with no worries about my gear getting wet. I look forward to future hikes with it, and heading back to Isle Royale with it next year.
