These gloves are very soft leather, you get great feedback and control from rope. They are not too thick but are durable. The double adding is great.
Honestly makes a difference when belaying. You don't have to be afraid of gripping when the rope slips free.

Petzl GRIGRI 2 Assisted Braking Belay Device
Treat it like a manual belay device it's fantastic for that unexpected fall on long climbs. It takes the edge off knowing that if the belayer becomes unconscious because of an accident that the GriGri 2 will still have your back.

The wide bands provide great comfort on climbs and with heavy gear clipped in around the waist. The stiff but comfortable frame makes it strong and distributes falls very well.

This smaller sized carabiner is great! The auto locking mechanism fells really sturdy and reliable. It's small, out of the way and great for people getting into rockclimbing. The build quality was so impressive, I spent 20 minutes just playing with the auto lock.
