The Edelrid Bulletproof Triple-Lock is my go-to caribiner for belaying whether I'm using an ATC, Edelrid Giga Jul, or GriGri. The steel insert extends the life of the carabiner and the inner lock keeps it properly oriented on my harness at all times. When paired with the Giga Jul, I find there's more slippage in assisted mode than there is with the all-aluminim HMS Strike, but with proper friction and belay technique this is not a problem.
I think these are a decent gym shoe but I'm not convinced they're a replacement for my go-to La Sportiva Miura. They fit like a glove on a narrow-to-regular foot and although I feel a little room in the heel, I had no problem cranking on heel hooks. The laces are so long that I had to tie two bows and replaced them with shorter Sportiva laces.my main gripe is that there were the only shoe in my arsenal in which I couldn't stand on a tiny, slopey foot chip on slab. Size down 1/2 size for all-day comfort or 1 size for a performance fit.
