Was looking at this shell for about a year before i bought it. The 2012 version has an updated front zipper with storm drain and internal/external flaps. So far the zipper seems to be great, easy to use with gloves and does not snag and zips easily unlike some of the "weatherproof" zippers. The pockets are weatherproof however, and work great and look fancy.
