I totally love this pack. I have used it backpacking, motorcycle backpacking and as a travel bag. I'm 6'2" 285 pounds and its the most comfortable bag I've ever owned. As an adult I have been involved with scouting for 29 years. That's a lot of campouts and backpacking trips. I have bought and gotten rid of many bags over the years. I did have an external frame pack I love and used for 15 years until I used the frame to make a Halloween costume and lost the bag section. Been looking ever sense for a new backpack. This one is by far the best bag I have used. The top comes off and turns into a day pack which is really nice. After you setup camp, you don't have to carry your big backpack when you adventure out. It has plenty of compartments for organizing where you put your gear. for the last 7 years I have been an ultra light backpacking. I've been using a home made Ray Way backpack. but now that I'm older I don't sleep well without a few comforts. This bag is big but still light. I had a bag this big once but it weighed over 8 pounds empty. This one is still under 4 pounds. I pack light enough that I don't use the hip belt. My base weight is still under 20 pounds and under 24 pounds in the winter. I go solo winter backpacking in the winter. this bag is big enough that I can carry everything without needing a pull behind sled. We also enjoy Motorcycle backpacking. This back is built well and it takes the riggers of mountain trail riding while full of gear. You might say "I don'
I’m a big guy, 6’2” 290 pounds. This tent would have plenty of room for a young family of four. Good for car camping or for a couple that want lots of room in the tent for gear. I like that the tipi top has a mess vent and a rain fly. The door has two parts, a full mess ventilation door and a water proof door. I like the full length mess door for bug protection and ventilation. Heat and moisture is carried out the top of the tipi via the designed air flow. I like that my large 6’2” frame has lots of room from between my head and the wall and my feet and the wall. If you like a pillow like I do, you will like the extra room to put gear above your head for easy access during the night. I like a ventilated waterproof tent and the tipi design with its steep sides ensure rain runs off quickly and cannot pool anywhere and seep in. Setup is easy after you get the hang of it. Plop it down where you want it, stretch the floor out and point the door where you want it to face and stake the floor. Then insert the center pole and stake the guidelines out working from one side to the other. The lines are easily adjusted. When all the guidelines are up tighten the as desired and you’re done. Once you get it down it goes up quickly. The stakes are not very good, plan on just replacing them unless you plan on camping on softer rock free soil. This is not a high end tent that you pay through the nose for. It’s simply a usable tent that keeps you warm and dry with lots of room in it. As with an
Two things, the purchase process to actually receiving the child carrier went smooth as silk. The carrier its self seems to be a great design in that the weight is mostly carried on the hips and movement is minimal. Fit is great and it manages the weight a lot better than other child carriers I have used in the past.
