I does its job but:
1. I is difficult to snuff, especially in use within a stove setup so you have to wait for it to burn dry and cool before you can store it away. Some fuel is wasted so one must haul extra fuel. A negative for ultralite backpackers like me.
2. It requires purchasing aditional gear to be completely useful and windproof. The expensive TI DX2 system solves most problems.
3. The flame cannot be adjusted, i.e., it is on full at all times and cannot be used to simmer or keep food warm efficiently.
4. If you’re only boiling water, it is absolutely great. If you're cooking food a nonstick pan is required.
