I purchased this little kettle to use backpacking and walk-in camping. So I could leave the heavier gear for short walk and car camping. Tested it at the house, and I was impressed with the construction and stability of the unit. I had purchase a similar one for my grandson for his birthday last year.
Just a well made piece of gear. I always purchased the hardware store variety axes and abused them. This little beauty will not see the dirt, on purpose. The only tree roots it will see will be on un-earthed stumps.
