These pants are made to take anything a mountain can dish out, the fabric is super durable yet still light. Side zips make it easy to throw them on while wearing hiking boots. I'm 6'2"230lbs with a 38inch waist and bought the xl regular inseam. they are slightly big around the waist, but are easily tightened up with the built in belt. When the missiles start flying and the world enters a post apocalyptic nuclear winter, reach for this jacket. It is THE best Gore-Tex shell on the planet. The XL size with it's expedition fit is perfect for me and my wide shoulders and well earned beer belly (6'2" 230lbs)with plenty of room for a base layer and puffy or fleece.
