My girlfriend was always secretly jealous of how comfortable and warm my feet were in snowboard boots after a day on the mountain while she was in ski boots. I knew she wanted something for lounging and staying comfortable. These so far have been fantastic for around the house and in the car, I can't wait to see how they are at camp.
I'm looking at adding something to the sole to give it a bit more rigidity for when used around camp.
When you commit to buying the Snow Peak dutch oven unfortunately you'll quickly realize that you've got to commit to the accessories too. Conveniently in some of the kits they include the carrying case but other wise it's ala carte. This bag is a cool looking sturdy canvas bag that fits your dutch oven and it's accessories like a glove. Seeing that they make a bunch of the other cases like this, you too can easily transport all of your Snow Peak Dutch oven supplies to your next campsite.
My girlfriend and I have these for that transition area of spring hikes in the high country. They seem to be the most useful when descending the afternoon thaw when an actual snow shoe is too much and you want to avoid falling on your face.
This Compression Dry Sack is great. I'm able to get things like sleeping bags down to the size of a football and protected from any possibility of moisture. I use this as an inner dryness barrier with either my sleeping pad inflation bag or pack liner as the outer dryness barrier.
I was really happy when Sea to Summit came out with a coffee pour-over / porta filter that matched the rest of the X-Pot set I have. After I started to use it for a full season of both car camping and backpacking I ended up dreading using it after moving to another.
The item is not bad...
It was near impossible to use on the X-Cup's as they're not super sturdy. I'd recommend getting a rigid cup.
Then you go to really clean it then it becomes near difficult. The filter disc can come out of the grommet and has been near impossible to re-insert. I never looked for field replaceable parts for this but I hope you can get a filter disc.
It started as my go to sock for wearing with running shoes as they were intended. Where it became a game changer was with my golf shoes by having that bit of extra padding when you walk 18 (or 36). They work great too with sneakers or athletic shoes and shorts again because the extra cushion even in the light cushion model.
I wish Smartwool would stick to color schemes as it's often hard to add to "sets" of certain color schemes as you acquire more over the years.
One of the items I take on all camping trips whether car camping or backpacking. It's saved so many things in a pinch. Like on night one when the zipper breaks on a sleeping bag and you have a good set of pliers to fix the zipper to avoid what would have been a very few cold nights.
Having so many tool options in such a small package is such a life saver.
