Nice jacket. Bought this and an Alpha IS to compare. Kept the Fission SV and returned the Alpha IS. Alpha was crinkly, had a huge hood, and not as many pockets. The Fission fixes all of those things and is cheaper. Good all around jacket. Can wear to watch my kid play in the freezing rain, out on the town, or even skiing. Was searching a long time for a good insulated waterproof jacket and I think I found it. I’m 6’3” 215 and returned the Large as it was a bit short in the arms and a bit snug. XL should be perfect.
Extremely lightweight with a decent amount of insulation. Nice long arms. I’m 6’3” 215 and the XL fit well. However I returned this item. I would normally never buy this but jumped at the sale price. I didn’t buy it to ice climb but to watch my kid play soccer in the freezing rain, and I love Arc’teryx products because they are one of few brands that fit my sleeve length. I returned it because: it is extremely crinkly sounding (like a trash bag), the hood is way too big (unless you wear a helmet which I don’t), which also makes the collar very big when worn down, the cuffs are the slightest bit loose (and are non-adjustable), and other than the hand warmer pockets (which are nice) there are only 2 other pockets. I also got the Fission SV to compare and I’m going to keep that one - better for my needs (quieter, less ridiculous hood, more pockets, cheaper). The Fission SV is slightly heavier but I’m willing to accept that. Thanks.
Great bag for traveling. Everything has a purpose and it has just the right amount of pockets. Yes, the shoulder straps aren't the best but they're good enough for getting around the airport and to the hotel (which is my main use for it). If you don't stuff it, it works as a carry on. Bought it to replace a medium TNF duffel which can be too bulky and stiff - I like the Osprey as a travel bag better. Final nit pick - the main compartment's zipper can be a bit sticky to zip and unzip at times.
Great looking shirt. Trim fit is accurate. Fits pretty well - I'm 6'4" 210 lbs with broad-ish shoulders but slim build. XL fits like it's tailor made but is snug in the rear deltoid / lat area if I cross my arms. Forearms are weirdly tight too - don't even think about rolling them up - would be impossible. Tried the XXL but was WAY too big.
