Best pair of underwear I have ever owned.

Written on Oct 07, 2019

I have tried many different types of brands who claim to have the most comfortable pair of underwear, even other Saxx models and this is by far and away the best pair I have ever tried. They keep you feeling fresh all day, don't ride up and are super soft. Honestly I don't even know I am wearing them most of the time. A little on the pricey side for a pair of briefs but worth every penny. If you want to change up your underwear game this is the way to go.

Comfort at half the weight of a chair.

Written on Oct 01, 2019

If you are worried about the weight of your pack or are running out of space but don't want to rely on rocks or logs for a seat the Skyline UL Stool is a great option. At about half the weight of their chair the stool packs up very small and will provide you a convenient and easy to set up seat wherever you need it. One thing you aren't getting is the ability to lean back too much in the stool which can be less relaxing but it is miles better than sitting on a log. The material is durable and it is very sturdy for how small it is. I would definitely recommend taking something like this if you don't have room for the Big Agnes Skyline Chair.

Ultimate Comfort In The Backcountry

Written on Oct 01, 2019

Whenever I go backpacking a chair like this is a must have. There is nothing like leaning back and relaxing after setting up camp for the night and enjoying a meal and the view. The Big Agnes Skyline is one of the best chairs I have used and comes in a little lighter and more packable than the Helinox Chair One. Do yourself a favor and snag one of these for your next trip. Your feet will thank you.

Comfort in the backcountry at a great price and weight.

Written on Jul 12, 2019

Big Agnes bills themselves as the “Mother of Comfort” and the Anvil Horn delivers comfort in the backcountry category. For comparison, I generally use a Western Mountaineering Ultralite with a Therm-A-Rest NeoAir Xlite pad. In testing this bag, I used Big Agnes own Q-Core SLX Insulated pad.

I enjoyed using this sleeping bag. It fits a 20-25” wide sleeping pad, and I felt that I could spread out without having to worry about falling off my pad or unzipping my bag. It also had a useful pocket on the inside of the bag for your cell phone, so your battery doesn’t die in the cold. I was also pleasantly surprised by the weight. At about 2.5 pounds it has a great warmth to weight ratio and a great bang for your buck.

Packability was also impressive. It didn’t get as small as what I normally use, but it was pretty close and much smaller than most similar 650 fill down bags. I did end up putting it in my own stuff sack though as the one provided allowed it to be bigger than what I wanted to put in my pack.

The big test of any sleeping bag is how well it holds up to its warmth rating. Generally, I am not a very hot or cold sleeper and only use a very light pair of thermals to sleep in. The coldest temperature I tested this bag in was about 35 degrees. With an insulated pad, I was fine at this temperature but felt that if it got any colder, I would start to be uncomfortable. Realistically this bags comfort rating is about 30+ degrees. If you wanted to bundle up and sleep in 15-degree

Great pad for almost every adventure.

Written on Jul 12, 2019

The Big Agnes Q-Core SLX insulated pad is an extremely light and comfortable pad to sleep on in any condition. At 3.5" thick you 'won't be worried about the ground beneath you, and because the pad is insulated it will help keep you warm in 30+ degree temperatures. Generally, I use the Therm-A-Rest Neo Air X-Lite and 'didn't feel a difference in warmth with the Q-Core SLX.

In testing out this pad, I was very happy with its performance. The coldest it got while I was using this was around 35 degrees, and I 'didn't feel any cold coming up through the pad. Paired with a Big Agnes sleeping bag, I was comfortable and had some great sleeps in the backcountry. I have also tested this pad without a Big Agnes sleeping bag, and I will say the 20"" width felt a bit too narrow without the pad sleeve on Big 'Agnes' sleeping bags. I would recommend the 25"" wide pad for use without one of their sleeping bags.

Overall this pad has most every feature you would want in a sleeping pad, 'it's comfortable, very easy to inflate (especially if you use the Big Agnes Pumphouse), warmth, durability, and very packable. I would recommend this pad to anyone looking to add comfort or drop base weight while backpacking in the spring, summer, or fall.

Great All Around Shoe

Written on Aug 05, 2014

I have loved using my Salewas. They have been my go to shoe all summer for hiking as well as just kicking around town. They are one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever put on. They are also technical enough that I feel comfortable doing whatever out on the trail. They do run narrow through the foot but give you quite a bit of room for your toes which is nice. The multifit foot-bed is also a

Awesome Boots

Written on Aug 05, 2014

Oboz has quickly become one of my favorite brands and the Bridger delivers for those looking for a comfortable boot that can be used for hiking/backpacking, work, or just around town. I mainly use these boots for backpacking and usually carry around 30 lbs weight and they have been phenomenal. They are stable, comfortable, fit well through the foot and give your toes the room they need. Great bran
