Moab GTX

Written on Oct 12, 2016

The Moab was purchased as a light weight hiker / everyday wear shoe . The reason for 4 stars , they seem to be a little wide in the toe box compared to my last pair . I will customize the orthotics to fit as my foot is not quite as wide as it's "D " width . I would recommend always purchase Gortex model , it has been my experience that waterproof models are not very waterproof . Overall these are durable long lasting with decent traction , and if you have a true D width should fit great !

Great value for a lightweight hiker

I purchased these boots because they were a good value for a lightweight hiker with Gore-tex . The boots are really light , the Vibram sole is not very aggressive. Please be aware that the sizing is not quite the same as other brands , I wear a US men's 11 which is a 46 and is actually a US 11.25 in this brand. I have a B width foot, and went with the 45 (US 10.5), glad I did as they run a little wide . I am compensating for the width with a little heavier sock. This boot has a fairly stiff ankle support, which was a pleasant surprise. Wish I could tell you more, but so far I'm pleased. If you like the weight of tennis shoes , but need some support off the pavement these may be the ticket.
