The Zamberlan 230 SH Crosser Plus GTX RR backpacking boot is great choice for anyone tackling a speedy hike, multi-day backpacking trip, or even some light mountaineering. While incorporating features used in traditional mid-weight boots, the Crosser utilizes materials such as Gore-Tex, Kevlar, and Cordura to provide a comfortable and lightweight boot. This boot is 100% technical and 100% Zamberlan to its sole. A five-piece, dual-density EVA midsole and Vibram outsole is enhanced with TPU stabilizers and heel counters.

These are probably the best bang for the buck hiking boots that I've ever had the pleasure of wearing. They are light weight and breathable, yet supportive and water resistant with a wide toe box that allows the foot to function as it is designed to in nature.
Been wearing these boots for 18+ months and have put them through the wringer. This is a light hiking boot, suitable for day hikes and light backpacking loads up to at least 30#. But it should not be confused with a heavy pack boot. Modern materials are used to shave weight and add support. This is my first zamberlan. Im a nine and a half d and usually fit best in a wide boot. These are a little longer in the foot and roomy enough I have no complaints with the width. Very comfortable boot I've even taken snowshoeing twice with no problems.im sure they are going to hold up great this summer. I purchased these boots because they were a good value for a lightweight hiker with Gore-tex . The boots are really light , the Vibram sole is not very aggressive. Please be aware that the sizing is not quite the same as other brands , I wear a US men's 11 which is a 46 and is actually a US 11.25 in this brand. These boots required no break-in. I wore them on a 4 mile hike just to get a feel for them and they were fine right out of the box. Next, I took them on a 5 day backpack on a rough rocky trail into the Wallowa Mtns. with a full pack.
