Valandre Thor Neo Sleeping Bag -850 Down-
Used multiple times camping this past winter in SE AK. Warm enough to sleep in a light base layer and beanie. Booties and gloves if really cold. Nice fit w/room to store clothes, bottle, electronics down the sides, between legs or bottom of bag. Very impressive loft. Save the compression sack that comes w/bag - it works.
This pad is excellent for the minimalist!

Therm-a-Rest Z-Lite Sleeping Pad
This is a very basic foam mat so there's little to be said about it. The mat serves its purpose well, it is very lightweight, it folds into a reasonably small size and the amount of padding is about right (not too much, but enough). Manage your expectations; this is really just a foam pad - comfort is very limited, but for a minimalist backpacker this pad is the way to go. I like that there are no valves to fail and there's no skin to puncture - no matter what, reasonable padding will be provided. It also works well as a ground mat to place under an inflatable air pad.

Kelty Coyote 80 Pack
This is a good mid-sized pack - not too big, not too small. It works great for weekend treks but I wouldn't really want to use it on longer trips. There is no divider in the main compartment so you may need to to take a bit of extra care and planning in how you pack it. I'm also in agreement with Brandon. The detachable lid gave us a bit of trouble as well. That said, the pack is lightweight and comfortable to carry, which are obviously very important considerations! It's also pretty easy to adjust, even on the trail, so points for that. Overall, this is a decent pack for a good price.

This pack certainly could be used for women, although the ideal pack depends on a lot more than gender. Women's packs are typically shorter in the torso length and wider in the waist and sometimes the chest. However, with this pack's adjustable torso, it is fairly easy to adjust it to your size
