Low tech, highly efficient item that stabilizes your canister stove for backpacking. Very light weight, but functional...no more tipped over pots just when they're about to reach a full boil.
This item comes along even on day hikes when I want a warm meal...recommended.

My son and I have been testing freeze-dried entrees to prepare for a Spring backpack in the Adks. We tried this one out for lunch in Ramapo County Reservation, NJ.
The macaroni and beef reconstituted very nicely but there really wasn't a lot of flavor here. I prefer a chili that has some heat and spice to it, but this one is pretty bland.

The potatoes and beef reconstituted very nicely and the corn added a welcome texture to the meal. Might be a little salty for some, but I added a little pepper and thoroughly enjoyed this one.
