I haven't had it long, and it hasn't taken any hits or falls, but, so far, the helmet seems to match the manufacturer's description. Fine.. that's what I wanted, and that's why I bought it.
THE PROBLEM: My issue with Campsaver is that this helmet/material is supposed to be retired 6 years after manufacture (the manufacture date is very clearly placed on the inside of the helmet, and the manual states "In situations of optimal storage and rare use, the product must be replaced no later than 6 years after the date of manufacture"), and the helmet that I received was manufactured 2 years ago. So I've lost 2 of the 6 years of this helmet's life. That's a big deal to me. This is exactly as if they had sold me a car with a 30,000mi warranty, but then when I get home, I find out I only have 20,000mi left on it. If the merchandise is old, then it should be stated so, up front, so that I can fairly make an evaluation. With the information I had when I clicked "Purchase," I thought I was getting a fair deal; now, I feel like I've been cheated. And this feeling will always be on my mind when I shop for my gear in the future.
