This boot is sturdy, stable, and provides lots of ankle support for going off-trail. I have extremely weak ankles, and this boot has saved many a trip from injury. The boot does require some break-in time and doesn't have quite enough underfoot cushioning. Even with aftermarket insoles, I have sore feet at the end of my hikes. However, this is a small price to pay for healthy ankles!
