Thule Taxi XT

Written on Sep 25, 2020

I like it. It makes strapping down my paddle boards very easy. Since I was new to strapping boards to my roof, I wanted an extremely secure solution. I did initially have problems feeding the end of the strap on one side, but once I figured out the best angle, that hasn’t been a problem. But frankly I’m not sure the Thule is really necessary. I think sturdy straps and foam cushions (at a fraction of the cost) would be fine. Since we were paddle boarding a couple times a week, I’ve just left the Thule on. I believe having it on the rack, even with no boards, significantly reduces my gas mileage.

Very comfortable

Written on Jul 22, 2020

Very comfortable! I imagine it would be used for car camping. It isn’t heavy but it is bulky when packed up. Camping pads have come a long way. This is the thickest, most comfortable pad I have used. Good for side sleepers. It does make noise when change your sleeping position.

Helinox umbrella

Written on Jun 19, 2020

I have the Helinox chairs, tables and cots and I love them all. I decided to get the umbrella because I wanted a light weight, sturdy umbrella. It is a very simple design, no buttons or springs or anything extra that could break. It is small enough to fit in a 21” carry-on but not a purse. I like it but it is quite expensive. I suppose there is some peace of mind that it won’t break when you need it.

Make your favorite Helinox chair a rocker!

Written on May 21, 2020

This is actually my second set of rocking feet. I used the original with my Sunset chair. I got this second pair to go on my XL Helinox chair so a friend or family member could join me rocking. A luxury on an already awesome chair!

Huge difference

Written on May 21, 2020

The legs are a nice extra for the Helinox cot one. While not necessary, the extra height gives the cot a bench height, perfect for extra seating (when not used for sleeping)and storing things underneath. I’m really glad I got them. They make getting up and down from cot much easier.

Love my new Chacos

Written on May 21, 2020

I love wearing Chaco’s practically year round. I’m older (50) and heavier than I was 25 years ago when I got my first pair. Comfort and quality are more important to me than ever. As I’ve culled through my collection of shoes, my Chaco’s continue to get daily use. I have a high arch and these give great support. The Z and Z2 work best for me. Campsaver has the best deals!

Fantastic Cot

Written on May 21, 2020

I bought two of the Helinox Cot One with the legs. As a woman of average height and weight (5’5” 135 lbs) the cot is fantastic. It is pretty roomy and comfortable. The legs are nice because when not sleeping on the cot it makes a nice bench. Putting on the legs is not difficult once you figure out the right position and amount of force to use. Definitely put the middle one on first while it is turned to its side with you above the upper side and using your body weight. I love it! Thinking of getting the Helinox Cot Lite .

ENO doublenest hammock

Written on Apr 16, 2020

I already had two Eno doublenest hammocks so this is my third. I love these hammocks! I also have a couple of the off brand hammocks which I also like but the ENO are my favorite. I’m using the three doublenest on the ENO triple hammock stand. We also have set ups for indoor hammock use. They fold up small and light. I think they make great gifts. This particular one has a bright geometric pattern. Pretty! I would love to get the tied dyed one but it was full price .

ENO chair swing

Written on Apr 11, 2020

My kids and I all love it. We use it with the ENO chair swing stand. It folds up easily in a light weight case with a strap. Super easy to put together and very easy to adjust. You can lie all the way back with your feet in the hanging, adjustable foot rest. I just got it, but it does seem sturdy.

Love it, easy to assemble

Written on Apr 11, 2020

I love it and it is easy to assemble. The little bag with screws and washers was torn inside my box (two missing washers) and there were no directions for assembly included, even so it was easy to assemble by myself. It is a heavy stand. I wouldn’t consider it portable and unless you have high ceilings, it is too big to have inside.
