Not Waterproof

Written on Jun 17, 2015

The boots fit my long, narrow feet great, are light and stable, have good treads, and look cool.

They are in no way waterproof, however. After walking in wet grass for 30 minutes my socks and feet were soaked. The water came in through the nylon tongue and gussets under the laces. This nylon extends all the way to the tow. Mountain boots like this will by definition be used in & around water & snow. Without waterproofness, one might as well ask for misery and frostbite.

Sorry Salewa, you cool design missed a fundamental of good boots...
