My son tried them on around the house and they fit him perfect. He said they were pretty comfortable. It's hard to test them in the cold when it's triple digits outside but soon enough they will get put to use.

I ordered this for my oldest son and it fit true to size. It was on clearance and will be used this fall for skiing and hunting. I can't comment on how well it works in the rain because it's currently running around 100 degrees.

Hanwag Alaska GTX Backpacking Boots - Men's
I ordered a pair of these in wide and they have the narrowest toe box I've ever tried on for a EE width. The toe of the boot also tapers to somewhat of a point which makes the toe box narrower. My true size is a 10 1/2 E and the Hanwag's in a 10 1/2 EE were too narrow. They are nice boot but just aren't accurate in their sizing.
