Amazing stove

Written on Sep 11, 2015

I was fortunate enough to pick this baby up for a very reasonable price. Four buddies and I went backpacking the Maroon Bells Four Pass Loop in Colorado this summer. We took 4 days to do the hike. Amazingly the stove cooked for 5 people for 4 nights and 3 mornings, on only one bottle of gas, not the white gas but the actual normal gas. We still have some gas left in the bottle too! Lights easy, never clogged and did great in snow country where we were cooking in a snow storm with no problem. Boils 1 L of water in 1 Min and 45 Sec, at 1400 feet elevation.

good but not great

Written on Jul 27, 2015

I recently bought this tent to go backpacking in Colorado with some buddies. We hiked the Maroon bells Four Pass loop by aspen. The tent did great when there was no moisture in the air. But if it had rained then condensation would build on the inside of the rain fly! The tent had loads of room for 2 people plus a dog. My buddies 6'3" and had no troubles. We did have an issue with having so much gear that are vestibules got full, and stuff on the outer edge got wet. We couldn't tell if from the rain or because of the condensation buildup on the inside of the rain fly. Footprint works good but sold separately. Water never hit the bottom of the tent or soaked in through the bottom. Super simple tent to set up in my opinion! Never have a problem getting it in its stuff sack so packs down to specs. All in all good tent for the money!
