The updated version of the backpack is just awful!
In the new version, pockets on the belt were removed, pockets on the shoulders were removed, side and front pockets became less elastic and less capacious, the aluminum frame with reliable fasteners was replaced with a 4 mm wire frame with unreliable and low-quality plastic fasteners (one of them broke in the first campaign, and now either throw away the backpack, or do not know how to repair it), the new version has become higher and higher, the old one was lower and wider.

P. S. In my opinion, the previous version of the backpack was perfect. The backpack in the new version is garbage and a waste of money. Worst osprey in my backpack collection. I absolutely do not recommend buying a new version. Look for the old version.

Studying what the modern industry offers, I came to the OSPREY backpacks of the Exos series. After all, this company in the last five years has suddenly burst into the front in the field of creating comfortable backpacks - a ventilated back, three external pockets on an elastic mesh, a removable valve and an incredibly low weight. The backpack has convenient pockets, including on shoulder straps, as well as a removable valve (mega it is important on the road, you can even use it as a waist bag or put in it all important trifles and take in hand luggage), has a large elastic pocket with a frontal side. This is unrealistically cool and really very convenient. If I have such a backpack in a hike, these pockets are always packed with useful nonsense, which is constantly needed in the campaign. Usually, there is a waterproof set of pants-jacket. Agree, it's silly to wear 8-10 kilograms of equipment in a backpack weighing 2-2.5 kilograms! Therefore, the opportunity to have a backpack of this level of comfort and volume, which weighs only 1 kg - it's really right!

Everything in it is good - it does not blow, it does not get wet, it's warm (-25 celsius does not freeze), but it has terrible pockets! I do not know who is responsible for ergonomics and design of pockets, and their functionality, but he clearly did not understand what he was doing! Better instead of 4 completely ugly pockets made 2 normal, thought out and comfortable. Because of these miserable pockets, I broke the phone.

I of course would prefer side pockets on a fastener, the warmed and ksilenny zone of a chin, but these are my preferences. :)
Perfectly is suitable for the city in the winter. To -5 on Celsius from easy fleece jackets.
